Vieste is located in Gargano National Park, on the farthest point of the promontory, stretched on the Adriatic Sea. Known also as Gargano’s Pearl for its beauty, Vieste arise on a small rock penisula dominated by the medieval hamlet with its irregular streets, the panoramic squares, churches, staircases, arches and sea overhanging white houses. It is one of the oldest town of Daunia and it is famous for its Pizzomunno, a 25m tall limestone, on which there are many legends.

The Gargano, known as well as Sperone d’Italia, is a promontory located north of Apulia and surrounded by the Adriatic Sea. The Gargano National Park, one of the widest of Italy, is a protected area that include the sea life sanctuary of Tremiti Islands and the Foresta Umbra, a 10’000 hectar forest just few kilometers far away from the sea. The uniqueness of this territory is that it includes different nature environments within his borders. Countless tourist attractions are spread throughout its 18 municipalities. Differents tours and excursions make the Gargano the ideal place for holidays, not only for the sea, but also for the nature, the different sports that you can practice, the art, the history and of course the food and wine.
